Stephanie Lake Teams Up with MIA

If ever there was a designer who could interpret Archduke Ferdinand II of Tyrol as a piece of jewelry, it's Stephanie Lake. The Twin Cities-based jewelry designer, who began her career in the Sotheby's Fashion Department, holds a Ph.D. in Decorative Arts, Design History, and Material Culture. Her unique blend of historical perspective, design insight, and raw creativity made her the perfect collaborator for a collection inspired by Minneapolis Institute of Arts latest exhibit, "The Habsburgs: Rarely Seen Masterpieces from Europe's Greatest Dynasty." Lake's exclusive capsule collection is currently available at the Store at MIA. It includes stunning statement pieces, adorned with antique coral, mother-of-pearl, turquoise, gold-washed fringe, spikes, and brass. "This collection presents an incredible opportunity to own a modern day interpretation of the remarkable art works in the exhibition," says Ryan Ross, MIA's head of retail. Prices start at around $645. Lake's Habsburgs collection will be available at the MIA through May 10.
