Product Description

This 1920s costume illustration for chorus girls is part of Cashin’s work for the California-based impresarios Fanchon and Marco. Regional themes, such as this “orange tree” dance costume, were a specialty but this sketch is notable for the manner in which she signed it. The “eye” as a flourish, underscoring Bonnie’s name, is among several experimental ideas she considered when developing her artist’s signature.
